ROSE CLASSIFICATIONS

(FL) - Floribunda: The blooms resemble hybrid tea in form but are smaller in size, and are usually borne in clusters of 5-10. The plants average 3-4 feet in height.

(GR) - Grandiflora: Blooms resemble hybrid teas in form, are larger than floribunda but not quite as big as a hybrid tea. They are borne in smaller clusters than floribunda's. the plants average 5-7 ft. in height.

(HT) - Hybrid Tea: Large flowers are borne singly on long stems or in small clusters. They average 4-6 ft. in height and are the best for cut flowers.

(OF) - Old-Fashioned: Very fragrant roses with cupped-shaped blooms introduced prior to 1900, or a combination of old world and modern roses such as David Austin Roses or Generosa's. Listed by height.

(SH) - Shrub Rose: Clusters of small to medium sized flowers. Sizes range from low and spreading, to 4-6 ft. high and equally wide. Can be used for mass plantings, ground covers and hedges.
