Most people are familiar with fragrant blue flowers of the Jacob’s Ladder (polemonium), but did you know that there are two exquisite variegated versions of this plant?

“Brise d’Anjou” came out a couple of years ago and features bright violet-blue flowers on tall stems above mounded, fern-like, variegated creamy yellow and green foliage.

“Snow and Sapphires” features fragrant sky-blue flowers on tall stems above mounded, fern-like green and white foliage. Both varieties bloom in early summer and provide wonderful contrast in a semi-shaded garden.
