This plant forms 16” inch clumps of wonderful deep maroon to chocolate brown leaves with heavily ruffled edges that curl to reveal royal purple undersides. To compliment the compact mound of foliage, strong, purple spikes carry an abundance of small purplish flowers in spring. As with all coral bells, it prefers a morning sun – afternoon shade location.
